Guild Rules
Posted by: Admin on Thursday, May 05, 2005 - 12:17 PM
Everquest2 Genesis is a guild of good and honorable people who have worked hard to attain and uphold the guild's reputation. Please honor that hard work of so many by following these simple rules.

Conduct

The Genesis tag is an honor; treat it as such. Remember this tag flies over your head at all times; therefore you must conduct yourself with the up most dignity. For your actions speak directly for the guild.
Be nice
Be helpful
Do not grief other players
Conduct yourself with maturity
Do not talk behind other member's back
Do not use exploits
When you become a member of Genesis, leave your ego at the door.
If you generate an excessive amount of drama, you will be removed at officer discretion. This is a game that is supposed to be fun. If you are making it misarble for other guild members you will be removed quickly.
At any time you may be kicked from the guild if you do not follow orders or suck at
playing your toon.

Activity

Genesis is a thriving community of players... a family if you will. When a recruit/member is not actively playing, or quits eq2 all together it hurts the family dynamics. The definition of " actively" is very loose. When a player has low level of activity and is not helping the guild advance or they haven't logged in for 10 days (without notifying the leadership) they will be removed. That person will have the opportunity to come back if they show interest and leadership approves, at a later date. That person may also move their main character into our alt guild GEN if they will only play occasionally.

Loot

All guild groups NBG system. We encourage you to give spells/gear to other members to further our cause, even if you get them on alts. It makes the guild stronger. Anyone not doing this will likely be tarred and feathered.

All guild raid loot will be distributed through officer discretion and consensus. This is a merit system. Many factors will be taken into account during distribution including last time they received loot, importance, need, and attendance record. Greediness will not be tolerated. Full members have preference over apps and recruits and those there at the raid over those not.

Loot not needed will be sold for guild funds or transmuted, and on some occasions sold to alts at a discount.

Alts

Alts are not allowed in the main guild. We have an Alt guild set up for those who have multiple alts that would still like those characters affiliated with Genesis. The Genesis guild charter and rules apply to the Alt guild as well. So apply with the character you wish to play. You may be asked to play an alt if the class is needed during that raid or we have too many of a class type. Your main is still eligible for loot. Alts are not allowed to raid with other raid capable guilds. If loot drops that no main wants or needs and your alt is present, you are eligible for it. Alts we need to use will be geared.

Raids

Raids are not about you, they are about the guild.

Logging out because you don't like the raid being planned or raid dodging is minus 10000dkp! and may get you /kicked.

Raids are filled first come first serve with an emphasis being placed on classes required to successfully defeat the encounter. Applicants, recruits and members with poor attendance may be asked to sit out.

You should not expect to be assigned permanent spots or roles. There is no such thing as a permanent main tank group or dps group setup. Raid groups are setup by the raid leader for the circumstances at hand and may be filled first come first serve. You may offer suggestions in /gu but the raid leaders decision is final. Do not pester a raid leader wanting a better group.

If you refuse to follow raid leader or officer instructions you will be kicked.

Loot is officer assigned as described above.

If the rules seem unusually clear to you, you must have misunderstood them.
If you disagree with them, don't let the door hit you in the ass.

Holidays:
Genesis officially observes September 19th "International Talk like a Pirate Day" http://talklikeapirateday.com/wordpress/
All guild members must talk like pirates during this holy time.
Arrrggh
